Thousands of people came out to enjoy the parade, the partying and the spring-like weather on Saturday in Lackawanna County.

Both bar owners and police expect a lively crowd at night after the parade, but along Courthouse Square there is plenty of police presence since people started showing up several hours before the parade.

Chief Carl Graziano says "Every year you learn to do some things better for next year, we build on that every year along with the district attorney's office and the local establishments, we ask for their co-operation, every year it's gotten a little better."
