MONROE COUNTY -- A ski resort in Monroe County is celebrating a milestone.

Camelback Mountain held a party for the resort's 50th birthday on Saturday.

Part of the celebration included a 24-hour snowtube-a-thon.

There was also a gala, complete with a cake modeled after the mountain.

An employee who has been with the resort for 41 years found reason to celebrate.

"I'm nine years short of being here the full 50, so it's great. It really is. It's really neat to see the old friends, people I've worked with for over 40 years, some people who were here before I started. To be here, it's just incredible," said Bill Toye, a Camelback employee.

There was also a relay for life event as part of the 50th birthday for the resort in Monroe County.
