PORTER TOWNSHIP --Two men from Baltimore were hit and killed early Thursday morning while walking along Interstate 80 in Clinton County.
State police and firefighters were on the scene of the deadly crash on I-80 West near Lamar for most of Thursday morning.
According to authorities, David Flores, 29, and Jesus Chavea of Baltimore, were walking along the interstate when they were struck by a car driven by Carlos Freitas-Diaz, 41, of Arlington, New Jersey.
One westbound lane of Interstate 80 is still closed.
The crash is under investigation.
