SCRANTON -- Holocaust survivor Sam Rosen passed away Friday night.

Rosen lost 11 siblings, as well as his parents in Nazi concentration camps during World War II. He was able to survive by disguising himself as a Polish Catholic in Czechoslovakia.

He moved to America, rebuilt his life, and raised a family in Scranton. He worked at the National Pretzel Factory, and was a member of the rotary club.

Rosen was a father of two, and had over a dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sam Rosen was 92 years old.
