Crash Closed Interstate

MIFFLIN TOWNSHIP —  The eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Columbia County were closed for a time Sunday morning.

State police at Bloomsburg said a tractor trailer jackknifed around 3:45 a.m. near the Lime Ridge exit. The truck’s wheels came off during the accident, but its load of apples did not spill.

Officials said the driver was not hurt in the crash.

PennDOT said the eastbound lanes of the highway in Columbia County reopened around 9:15 a.m.
