Three Hurt, Road Shut Down By Crash

COAL TOWNSHIP — Three people were hurt in a wreck Friday morning in Northumberland County.

The car went out of control and flipped around 8 a.m. on Route 61 near Shamokin, according to police.

The driver and two passengers were injured and taken to the hospital.

Route 61 in the area was shut down for several hours.

Officers believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.
