HAZLETON ---Flames hit the Hazleton Sports Academy in Luzerne County.
Crews were called to the old St. John's Byzantine Catholic School on North Wyoming Street shortly before 8 p.m. Monday.
The place currently houses an athletic supply business.
The owner of the building says there is plenty of damage, even though flames were confined to the back of the building. He tells Newswatch 16 cash, a video recorder, copper pipes and security cameras are missing.
Investigators aren't sure if the fire was set to cover up a burglary or if the fire and the missing items are a coincidence.
The owner of the building adds he would like to rebuild either on North Wyoming Street, or somewhere else.
