Man Injured From Crash On Birney Avenue

SCRANTON -- A man was hurt in an early morning crash in Scranton.

Police said the driver may have been speeding when he lost control of his car a little before 3 a.m. on Sunday.

According to officials, the driver ran off Birney Avenue, hit a utility pole, and then flipped his car.

Birney Avenue is now open to traffic after being closed for the clearing of the wreck in Lackawanna County.
