WILKES-BARRE -- Music, food, and fun were found Thursday at a grand opening ceremony for a new Mexican restaurant in Wilkes-Barre.
Owners of El Zocalo Mexican Restaurant cut the ribbon to their eatery on Public Square. The business has been open for a few weeks but owners held an official grand opening Thursday afternoon.
Management of El Zocalo used to operate the former restaurant El Rincon. A few months ago, owners decided to close their previous location and relocate to Public Square.
The ceremony featured a Mariachi band and a special opening day lunch buffet.
