#3 St. John Neumann held off a hard charging #2 Loyalsock Lancer boy's basketball team on Monday night to win the Heartland Conference Championship at Montoursville high-school 64-58. With the win the Knights remain undefeated at 23-0. They open up District IV "A" play on Friday night at home against the winner of the Muncy and Cowanesque Valley game to be played on Tuesday night in Muncy. Neumann is the #1 seed and sits on the top of the bracket while #2 seed Galeton and #3 seed Sullivan County are on the bottom of the bracket. With a win on Friday night the Knights would play the winner of the Mansfield and North Penn game a 4 vs 5 match-up.
