SUNBURY -- The woman charged in the killing of a man she and her husband met through Craigslist was confronted by reporters Tuesday outside the Sunbury police department.

Miranda Barbour recently told a newspaper reporter she had killed many times before.

Barbour was brought to the Sunbury police department for fingerprinting and photographs.

Since the weekend, she's been making headlines all over the world since telling a newspaper reporter that she has killed at least 22 people.

Tuesday was her first time stepping out of the Northumberland County jail since that interview was published.

"Miranda, did you really kill 22 people?  Were you telling the truth?  Is that newspaper article true?"

While Miranda Barbour had plenty to say in her recent newspaper interview, she did not answer any of our questions as she left the Sunbury police department.

Sunbury police say Barbour was brought to the police station to be fingerprinted and photographed in connection with the homicide charge she faces for the stabbing death of Troy LaFerrara in November of 2013.

Barbour's husband Elytte was fingerprinted and photographed on Monday.  He talked to Newswatch 16 about what his wife told The Daily Item" newspaper.

“I plead the Fifth,” Barbour said when asked if he believed Miranda’s claims.  “Who’s to say (if she’s honest)?”

“Don’t put words in my mouth,” he added.

According to Sunbury police, the FBI is in Sunbury to meet with investigators about Miranda Barbour's claims to have killed at least 22 people in other states.

In a written statement, Northumberland County District Attorney Tony Rosini said, "any information regarding crimes committed in other jurisdictions has been or will be forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement agencies and the FBI.

"There has been no verification of any of the information that has been the subject of media coverage regarding prior acts of the defendant, Miranda Barbour."

The Northumberland County D.A. also says he is prosecuting Miranda and Elytte Barbour only for the homicide of Troy LaFerrara.

Rosini says he is pursuing the death penalty against both Barbours.
