Mt. Carmel found a groove shooting sometime during the 3rd quarter on Monday night at Montoursville high-school to claim the 2014 Heartland Conference championship 40-35 over Warrior Run. For most of the first half and late into the 4th quarter this was a tight ballgame, but a big three by Mt. Carmel sealed the deal for the win.
Mt. Carmel is the #1 seed in the upcoming District IV "AA" girl's basketball playoffs. They play South Williamsport at home on Friday night at 7pm. With a win they would face the winner of the Wyalusing and Montoursville game also to be played on Friday night in Wyalusing at 7pm.
