Fire Forces Residents Out into Cold Weather

WILKES-BARRE — More than a dozen people are back in their homes this morning after an early morning fire chased them into the cold Monday morning.

The fire broke out at an apartment home on Carlisle Street shortly after midnight in Luzerne County.

Temperatures were in the low teens when the people living here ran from their homes.

Everyone managed to make it out it out safely.

Crews tell us the fire was isolated to one of the second floor apartments and the damage is minor.

There is no word on what sparked the flames.
