Brother, Sister Killed in Deadly Wreck

SCRANTON -- Police said a brother and sister were killed in a Sunday night wreck that closed part of the North Scranton Expressway in Scranton.

The crash happened just after 9 p.m. Sunday on the Main Avenue on-ramp to the expressway.

Five people were in the vehicle. Authorities said a 14-year-old boy died at the scene.  The coroner said his 13-year-old sister died at the hospital.  Three others are still recovering.

The road was closed for about three hours while crews cleaned up after the wreck.

The coroner released the names of the victims Monday morning.
