The Old Forge School District will be in session for a full day of classes on Monday, Feb. 17.

Sunbury will begin clearing snow on streets downtown from at 11 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday, and 11 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday. Vehicles that are not moved will be ticketed or towed.

The empty/double trailer ban, including the ban of any trailer pulled by a passenger vehicle, is now in effect on the PA Turnpike only on the Northeastern Extension from the Lehigh Valley Exit (#56) to the northern terminus of I-476 at Clarks Summit (Exit 131).

Vehicles parked along Wyoming Avenue in Exeter and Wyoming should be moved beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday. A parking ban is in effect from midnight to 8 a.m. Friday.

Trinity Episcopal Church in Pottsville opened an emergency shelter at S 2nd Street
and Howard Avenue
due to the snow storm. Anyone without heat or in
need of shelter is welcome.

COLTS Buses are on Snow Routes today – Thursday, Feb. 13,

 #12 Jessup: bus uses North Washington Ave. to Green Ridge St. to
Blakely Street, then on to regular route. No Church Street.

 #14 Drinker: bus uses North Washington Ave. to Green Ridge St. to
Blakely Street, then on to regular route.

 #15 Chestnut/Ash:  regular route to
Mill Street and Wheeler Avenue and then turn around; no Bunker Hill.

 #18 Petersburg: regular route to
Harrison Ave. to Myrtle St. then regular route.

 #21 East Mountain/Wintermantel/Oakmont:  turn around at
Salvation Army.

 #25 Valley View/Hilltop:  regular route to
South Webster Ave. and Cherry Street and turn around.

 #28 Pittston: no Rocky Glen Road

 #36 Lafayette: Garfield/Price/Van Buren outbound; Van Buren to Price to
Rebecca inbound

 #41 Hiqh Works:  no Allied Services

 #43 Viewmont/Bangor:  no Bangor Heights

 #53 Marywood/U of S: bus uses Adams, stays off Madison Ave. and Jefferson Ave.

Non-essential employees under the Governor’s jurisdiction who work in the Capitol Complex, the Harrisburg area, the Philadelphia office buildings, and the Scranton and Reading State Office Buildings are authorized a full day closing for Thursday, February 13, 2014.
