LAKEVILLE- If you're looking to get a glimpse of the world and you don't want to go too far, a business in Wayne County is bringing it to you.

Sculpted Ice Works in Lakeville kicked off its annual Crystal Cabin Fever, after several weeks of ice carving.

"We laid the first block about a month ago. It's about 800 blocks of ice and 100 tons of ice," owner Mark Crouthamel said.

This year's Crystal Cabin Fever event takes you around the world.

From the Eiffel Tower, to Egypt to even the Colosseum in Rome.

"We were here last year and it was absolutely wonderful," Rick Koup of Malvern said.

Koup and his family made the last minute trip to Crystal Cabin Fever on Friday. The Koup family was impacted by the ice storm outside of Philadelphia, which last left them without power.

"I grabbed my wife and my son and his family and we came up the turnpike last night. We had a warm bed to sleep in at Lake Wallenpaupack," Rick Koup said.

Koup's grandkids didn't seem to mind leaving the ice at home, to come and play with even more ice.

"I love it. I want to own everything made out of ice in here," Evan Koup said.

Even though it might be colder inside at Crystal Cabin Fever than it is outside...that doesn't mean people aren't having fun.

A lot of people are taking a ride on the event's 50 foot ice slide.

"It's sort of like fast but also a little bit bumpy," Ella Koup said.

And if all of that action and adventure leaves you hungry, there is also a snack bar and ice bar. Just bundle up!

"It stays really cold in this building so dress warm. Bring snow pants for going down the slide. Even if it's a beautiful day it's going to be winter inside of here," Crouthamel said.

Crystal Cabin Fever runs through February 23 in Lakeville.
