It was a tight game thru all four quarters on Monday night in Old Forge as the #3 Dunmore Lady Bucks looked for the sweep of the Old Forge Lady Blue Devils in a Lackawanna League girl's basketball match-up. Kayleigh Semion had a tremendous game for Dunmore providing scoring and defense. Old Forge received scoring from Rhyan Barnic, Lauren Carey, and Victoria Tansley off the bench. In the end Dunmore prevailed 43-41. Maddie Martin the Dunmore freshman hit some big 3's in the first half to keep pace with the hot shooting Blue Devils team, but in the second half it was the inside pressure from Dunmore's Mariah Macijewski, and Jill Korgeski that got Old Forge in foul trouble-and the Lady Bucks converted from the line. Lauren Carey had three free throw attempts in the final 4.1 seconds of the game down by three, but converted only one, and on the final shot the ball tipped out for a game winning three that was just off the mark for Old Forge.
