Kiwanis Winterfest 2014
The Kiwanis Club in Sullivan County celebrates Winterfest. It’s an all day event on Saturday, February 15 starting at 7 a.m. at Camp Brule, North Street in Forksville. It features an ice fishing tournament, horse-drawn sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, ice skating, sledding & ice carvers. The famous Polar Plunge is at noon. There’s a fireworks display at dusk.
PA State Snowshoe Championship
PA State Snowshoe Championship benefits the American Red Cross. It’s held at Nescopeck State Park in Drums on Saturday, February 15 starting at 11 a.m. Competition is open to everyone and beginners are welcome with snowshoe rentals available. For more information check out snowshoeracing.com.
