UPDATE 11 a.m. : The lane is now open, according to PennDOT.
KINGSTON — Some drivers in Luzerne County may need to make a detour on their way to work Friday morning after a sinkhole opened on Wyoming Avenue in Kingston.
Officials said the hole opened around 3:30 a.m. on Wyoming Avenue at Pierce Street.
Crews have closed one lane on the road and said it will remain closed until the hole is patched.
Officials ask those who normally travel that way are asked to avoid that area.
