SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Theft charges have been filed against a man who is accused of cheating a Schuylkill Haven car dealer out of more than $200,000.
Authorities say Robert Schappell of Deer Lake convinced the owner of Bruce’s Auto Mall to pay him for Corvettes he said he could get at low prices but never delivered the vehicles.
Schappell faces nearly two dozen counts of theft, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property.
