Shawn Munford is in his second season as the East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers head boy's basketball coach. Munford played for Bloomsburg University from 1997-2001 and finished as the school's 10th all-time leading scorer with 1,354 points. He also finished 3rd all-time in assists with 346 in his career. Newswatch 16 sports caught up with Shawn this evening as his team defeated Pleasant Valley 50-38 in a Mountain Valley Conference basketball game. After graduation from Bloomsburg University Munford played overseas then caught on at East Stroudsburg University as an assistant men's basketball coach for six years. Currently he is a teacher at East Stroudsburg University.
