SCRANTON -- Temperatures in the teens did not keep kids and adults from hitting the slopes on Sunday.

Children and parents came out to Montage Mountain in Scranton for the 31st annual Asthma Ski Day.

Children with asthma, ages six to 18, received free rental equipment, lessons and lift tickets.

The event was started by Doctor Melvyn Wolk, a pediatrician who wanted to encourage children with asthma to take part in sports.
