UPDATE: According to Snyder County Communications, 911 service was restored early Monday morning.
Officials in Snyder County said people there cannot call 911 from landlines right now.
They noticed the problem just before 8 p.m.
If there is an emergency, folks should dial 911 from a cell phone or call (570) 372-0826.
