Shots Fired at Sunoco A-Plus in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE -- Authorities said shots were fired at an employee at Sunoco A-Plus Mini Market in Wilkes-Barre.

According to police, two men robbed the mini market on Academy Street around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officers told Newswatch 16 that several shots were fired during the robbery. No one was hurt, and there was minimal damage.

The robbers are said to be in their early to mid-20s. One of the individuals was wearing a blue sweatshirt and the other a reddish sweatshirt. Both were wearing masks and one of the suspects has facial hair.

There is no word on how much cash the crooks got away with.

Police said the culprits are considered armed and dangerous.
