ASHLAND — State police tell Newswatch 16 that a second teenage boy has been questioned in connection with the investigation into a former deputy sheriff in Schuylkill County who is also the mayor of Ashland.
Troopers say they are investigating conversations Dennis Kane had with a 16-year-old boy on Facebook.
On Thursday, Kane retired and resigned as a deputy sheriff after 30 years of service.
Schuylkill County Sheriff Groody confirms that he contacted state police after receiving a complaint about Kane in September.
The woman who filed the complaint says the conversations between Kane and the boy were of a sexual nature.
Kane told Newswatch 16 that he has done nothing wrong and says he will not step down as mayor of Ashland.
