BARRETT TOWNSHIP -- The Super Bowl is almost here, when the Denver Broncos take on the Seattle Seahawks at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

It's not too far away from the Poconos, where many resorts are offering a way to enjoy the big game closer to home, away from the crowds. Some resorts are taking this as an opportunity to offer deals for overnight stay or a place where you cheer on your team.

Part of a Super Bowl party venue is getting assembled inside Skytop Lodge in Canadensis.

Jerry Youngken is a maintenance worker at the resort and has been hard at work for a few days constructing a wooden food truck.

"A door to get in and out, a windshield and lights. We're going to make it as authentic as possible. We have real tires and wheels," said Youngken.

The whole idea started as a way to attract more people to the resort's Super Bowl party which is open to the public.

All of the food will be prepared inside the kitchen at Skytop Lodge and one of those "must" items on the menu will be chicken wings.

“We're going to have a wing bar served out of the truck,” said Cara Federici, the Director of Sales at Skytop Lodge, “We're also going to have a cash bar, so they'll be serving all different types of drinks, beers, Super Bowl-inspired beverages.”

The food truck is on course to be done by February 2, Super Bowl Sunday.

But what if the area gets rocked by another snow storm, like it just did Tuesday and the Super Bowl is pushed up to Saturday or postponed until Monday?

"All the guests who have purchased tickets, a good majority of them are local.  So if they want to come the day before, we'll switch it, contact them ahead of time, no big deal.  If it's a day later, we're good," said Federici.

But what about the fans? Are they prepared for a rescheduled Super Bowl?

"What would I do? I'd watch it whenever it's on. If it ain't on, I'm an Eagles fan.  Maybe next year, we'll go there," said Phil Dente of Canadensis.

"I'll watch it regardless.  Football fans stay up and watch. With fantasy football, you watch everybody," said Steve Flanagan of Cresco.

The party at Skytop Lodge is from Noon to Midnight and tickets are $20.
