LAKE ARIEL — State officials say a homeowner’s association in Wayne County caused a fish kill last summer.

Officials tell us Ariel Landowners improperly applied a pesticide to get rid of algae in Lake Ariel.

Officials with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources say that is what caused about 10,000 fish to die in July of 2013.

hey thats politics for ya. if it was just one person that did this and not a Home Owners Assoc. you would see that person put in jail. but seeing its an organiziation with money that can pay off the corrupted officials we have here in this county that WE THE PEOPLE elected, they can get away with just a slap on the wrist and some bad PR.

I missed the part where is says how much they were fined and how much jail time. Does some politician live there, or some state police officers?
