PITTSTON TOWNSHIP — The bitter cold temperatures may be to blame for a dump truck crashing into an office building Wednesday in Luzerne County.
Officials say the truck was stopped at a railroad crossing just before 8 a.m. on Oak Street near Pittston.
Police said the driver put on his parking brake and got out of the truck to wave traffic around it. That’s what the truck rolled down the hill and smashed into the building.
No one was hurt. The driver thinks it happened because his brakes froze
