CATAWISSA -- The Southern Columbia Area School District has settled a lawsuit with the family of a former student who claimed her rights had been violated.
Newswatch 16 first told you about the lawsuit nearly two years ago.
Two varsity athletes at Southern Columbia High School were convicted of sexually assaulting the victim in 2011.
The lawsuit claimed school officials did little to protect her from the boys in school following the convictions.
Among the suit's claims: The school placed the boys in at least one class with the victim.
When the family complained. The school suggested the girl be the one to switch classes.
Details of the settlement with southern Columbia have not been disclosed.
