AVOCA — Construction crews are preparing to start demolition work on the old Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Main Street in Avoca.
The windows and doors are boarded up.
Most of the things inside were auctioned off last fall.
Workers are trying to get the bell out of the steeple.
Demolition is expected to begin on Monday.
