HAMILTON TOWNSHIP -- A mobile home in the Poconos became a crime scene after a man was shot and killed early Tuesday morning.

Investigators in Monroe County are still looking for the person who pulled the trigger at the home near Stroudsburg, but they say they do not believe this was a random act.

Troopers have been investigating the deadly shooting since it happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Several people have been questioned but there have been no arrests.

State police spent most of the day at the scene, a mobile home outside Stroudsburg.

That's where they say Darcey Kravchenko, 39, was shot and killed in the early morning hours.

Troopers were inside the home collecting evidence.

Neighbors in the area explain what they heard.

“I was at my friend's house and I heard gunshots, like five gunshots. We didn't pay any mind to it,” said Jacquelynn Cahill.

“It's common around here, like people hunt around here,” said John Stachewicz.

Newswatch 16 was at the mobile home park off Old Timber Road as police began arriving to investigate the deadly shooting. Troopers were searching the front yard of the home for clues as to what happened.

“I know that they're strong people, but that's scary,” said Cahill.

Cahill and Stachewicz say they're friends with the family but say they can't believe something so violent happened in their neighborhood.

The Monroe County coroner says when shots were fired, the victim, Darcey Kravchenko was shot once in the head. When emergency crews arrived Kravchenko was found in the back bedroom. He was taken to the hospital   where he died.

"He was a pretty cool guy.  I actually just talked with him before I left. I was saying goodbye to him.  It was kind of weird. I said goodbye to him as in me moving and he kind of passed away,” said Stachewicz.

State police say Kravchenko's wife and children were inside the home at the time of the shooting.

Troopers have questioned several people in connection with the death but have not made any arrests so far.
