Fire Crews Respond to Two Fires One Mile Apart

COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP — Fire crews in the Poconos responded to fires at two homes, just about one mile apart.

Crews spent hours at both scenes. The latest one happened around 8 p.m. in A Pocono Country Place development near Tobyhanna.

The fire was contained to the kitchen area of the home. No one was hurt in the fire.

About two hours before that call, crews responded to another fire near Tobyhanna.

Video sent to Newswatch 16 of the fire showed flames pouring from the building along Wild Cherry Lane.

Firefighters said a garage caught fire and the flames spread to a home.

There’s no word of any injuries.

An investigator is looking for the cause of the fire in Monroe County.
