DALLAS -- A personal care home in Luzerne County had to be evacuated Wednesday after the building flooded.

Responders were called to Meadow Manor in Dallas around 4 a.m. Wednesday for a sprinkler problem. The fire chief says a sprinkler issue caused the building on Lake Street to flood.

Authorities said 44 residents were moved from the building to another care home down the street.

Crews have not said if the sprinkler malfunction had anything to do with the cold weather.
