SOUTH CENTRE TOWNSHIP — One of the few schools that stayed open Tuesday was in Columbia County.
Central Columbia School District in the Bloomsburg area opened on time, even though wind chill temperatures were well below zero.
The superintendent tells us that according to information from the National Weather Service, students should be safe waiting outside at the bus stop for up to 30 minutes.
