HAZLETON -- A new medical clinic is up and running in Luzerne County.
The Geisinger Careworks walk-in clinic in Staples Plaza in Hazleton opened Friday.
Workers said they have seen a steady stream of patients in just the past three days.
The clinic has two exam rooms and an in-house lab.
Patients can get blood work done, get stitches, and other services.
"Patients can come here for all of the minor, non-emergent conditions. The sinus infections, colds, flues, stomach aches, but anything like chest pain or difficulty breathing, they need to go to the emergency room or they need to follow up with their PCPs, their family practitioners," said Alysha Beck.
The clinic is open seven days a week. An open house is planned for January 18.
Workers said another clinic is scheduled to open in two weeks in Nanticoke.
