Fire Hits Wilkes-Barre Building

WILKES-BARRE — Fire broke out Thursday afternoon at a house in Wilkes-Barre.

It happened after 3 p.m. at the place in the 400 block of South River Street.

Firefighter said the fire started on the left side of the double block home. Four people lived there. One person was there at time and got out safely.

There is no word on injuries and no word on the cause of the fire.
