South Scranton Home Hit By Fire

SCRANTON -- Officials are trying to find out what caused a fire at a home in Scranton Friday morning.

The fire started at a home on Slocum Avenue around 11 a.m.

No one was home at the time, but neighbors smelled smoke and called 911.

Firefighters had to rescue a dog from the home.

Officials believe the fire started on the second floor.

The cause has not been determined.
