WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP — A man from Old Forge, already locked up on charges he tried to rob a Walmart on Thanksgiving, is facing additional charges.

Michael Owens, 37, was arraigned again Monday morning for retail theft.

Police say he tried to steal hundreds of dollars’ worth of clothing from the Macy’s at the Wyoming Valley Mall near Wilkes-Barre on the same night as the Walmart incident.

Police say store security at Macy’s chased him from the mall.

Police caught him after a short chase in Luzerne County.
