For most of the day, the snow just kept falling and sticking to the roads in Stroudsburg and throughout the Poconos.

Road conditions started getting increasingly treacherous.

"It's horrible. The roads aren't being plowed and it's making it difficult for cars that aren't 4-wheel drive," said Fausto Mercado of Marshalls Creek.

Then a little before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, tractor-trailer spun out on Interstate 80 West near Tannersville, blocking both lanes of traffic. No one was hurt.

But traffic had to be detoured.

At that point, everyone was moving very slowly for about 45 minutes.

Shortly after, PennDOT reduced the 65 mile an hour speed limit on Interstate 80 in Monroe County and Carbon County to 45 miles an hour.

"I think they're very hazardous. I think the borough is doing a lousy job cleaning them up," said Armand Demireri, a postal worker.

Demireri delivers mail in Stroudsburg.

"It's very slippery, you gotta be careful," said Demireri.

But not everyone is an expert on driving in the snow.

One driver had a hard time getting out of a parking spot on Main Street.  He managed to back up and slowly make his way up the road.

Another man decided the best way to get around town is by foot and didn't mind all the snow falling around him.

"It's beautiful out there," said Howard McGibboui of Stroudsburg.
