Spritz and Cream Cheese Cookies

Join Newswatch 16’s Stacy Lange, her mom Amy, and Newswatch 16’s Lara Greenberg as they make delicious Spritz Cookies and Cream Cheese Cookies for the holiday season.

Spritz Cookies
1 c butter (we use ½ c Imperial & ½ c Crisco shortening)

¾ c sugar

1 egg

Tsp almond extract

1/8 tsp sale 2 ½ c flour

 Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg, stir in rest of ingredients.  Put through a cookie press, bake on ungreased cookie sheet 10-12 mins @ 375 degrees (watch for edges to lightly brown and then remove usually less than 10 mins.)

 Cream Cheese Cookies
1 c butter (we use ½ c Imperial & ½ c Crisco shortening)

3 ozs of cream cheese

1 c sugar

1 egg yolk

½ tsp vanilla extract

2 ½ c flour

 Cream margarine & cream cheese.  Stir in sugar, gradually beat until fluffy.  Beat in egg yolk & vanilla.  Stir in flour & mix well.  Put through a cookie press, bake on ungreased cookie sheet 9-11 mins. @ 375 degrees (watch for edges to lightly brown).  Let cookies cool, dip in melted chocolate bits & finely chopped pecans.
