In the "A" State Championship football game on Friday December 13th, 2013 the North Catholic Trojans won on a two-point conversion in overtime to defeat the Old Forge Blue Devils 15-14 at Hersheypark Stadium.

On a sunny, cold day in Hershey the (14-1) Blue Devils took a 7-0 lead on a 20 yard touchdown pass from Jake Manetti to Shane Schuback in the 2nd quarter. That lead held thru halftime, but in the 4th quarter with 7:20 to play North Catholic completed a pass on 4th and 4 from the 16 for a touchdown. On the completion quarterback PJ Fulmore hit Jerome Turner to tie the game 7-7.

In the final few minutes of regulation the Blue Devils mounted a drive-the big play a 28 yard catch from Shane Schuback to the 16 on 4th and 4 from the 44. It moved the Blue Devils into field goal range and with 3.8 seconds left Shane Schuback lined up a 29 yard attempt for the win and the state championship, but the kick was short and wide right. The game went into overtime tied 7-7.

Choosing the stage end of the field at Hersheypark Stadium the Blue Devils wasted no time when Brandon Yescavage took it in from the 5 yard line for the touchdown on 2nd down to give the Blue Devils a 13-7 lead. Shane Schuback's extra point made it 14-7.

North Catholic scored on their first play in overtime from the 10. PJ Fulmore off the right side on the run and it was Old Forge still ahead 14-13. After a timeout the Trojans coach Bob Ravenstahl decided to go for two points and the win, and the call paid off with another Fulmore score. North Catholic wins 15-14 over Old Forge to claim the "A" state title.
