FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP -- One person died in a crash in Luzerne County Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
Police said a car and a van crashed head-on on Route 437 around 4:20 p.m. in Wright Township. That's in Mountain Top.
The coroner’s office identified the crash victim as Mateusz Szymczak, 18, of Fairview Township.
Police said the road was shut down for about three hours after the wreck.
