Mike Stevens traveled back in time on the Pennsylvania Road.
The place is Tamaqua. The time is 75 years ago.
The kids on the teeter totter are my dad, George Taylor and my aunt Cleo Taylor. Taylor’s Diner was then owned by my grandfather Ernest Taylor. There is more of this video, I have a vhs copy of it and its very cool
I really loved this! So great to see that Tamaqua was such an active and vital place long before I was born. If there are anymore it would be great if they showed them during the Tamaqua News Years Eve celebration at the High Rise. Thanks for sharing Newswatch 16!
I grew up in tam aqua with both my parents being from there. Maurice McGeehan and Marie Hartranft were my parents and r now deceased. I have a lot of great memories growing up in the town as a child. Great to see it is coming back .
Wish there was more.
This is priceless. I am so glad I got to see a look back at Tamaqua as a gal who grew up in ‘Hometown’. Thank-you.
