NANTICOKE — Troopers say a woman was killed in a “random” home invasion and robbery in Luzerne County.
Officials said they were called to the scene on East Grand Street in Nanticoke after 10 a.m. Friday.
Troopers identified the victim as Gertrude Price, 97, of Nanticoke.
Officers say the woman was discovered around 10 a.m. by family members, who came to check on her when she wouldn’t answer the phone.
Police say they were told the lights were on inside the house around 11p.m. on Thanksgiving night which neighbors say is extremely uncommon, so they believe the crime happened late Thanksgiving night.
An autopsy will be done on Saturday.
No one has been arrested.

Just another incident showing that this once great nation is in it’s last days. Such violence and murder will not go unpunished. We now live in a culture of death and horrible violence. The judgement of the Almighty will surely be on this evil and bloody nation soon!

People are just scumbags. Let them come and kick my door in they will come in on two feet but they will be carried out on their back. This poor lady was beaten and robbed just because of her age. Cowards!

This wasn’t random. She was targeted because of her age. At 97 Gertrude didn’t pose much of a threat to these cowards. Time for the public to stand up for the elderly and weak. It’s no different than bullying.

How do you know, did you do it?

Seriously Bob, was that a necessary? It doesn’t take a genius to figure she was targeted most likely because of her age.
