EDWARDSVILLE — A former firefighter in Luzerne County admits stealing money from his own department.
Daniel West of Nanticoke pleaded guilty to theft charges Friday. He was charged in March.
West was the treasurer of a fire department in Edwardsville when he wrote out nearly $5,000 in checks to himself between 2009 and 2012.
West will be sentenced sometime next year in Luzerne County.
