SCRANTON — A former employee at the Diocese of Scranton has paid back $100,000 of the $340,000 she’s accused of stealing from the poor.
Sharon Warunek of Scranton gave up her right to a hearing Wednesday.
Last month, she was arrested for allegedly taking donations for Catholic charities and using the money to pay her own credit card bills.
