Man Accused of Murdering His Brother

JESSUP TOWNSHIP — State Police are investigating the shooting death of a man from Susquehanna County.

State Police in Gibson said the body of John Webster, 55, of Jessup Township was discovered in his yard on State Route 706 with an apparent gun shot wound.

Investigators said around 10 a.m. Sunday the victim’s brother Forest Webster, 52, of the same address turned himself in to the Montrose police department.

Webster is being charged with one count of criminal homicide and is currently being processed at the Susquehanna County prison.

The investigation into Webster’s death continues tonight in Susquehanna County.
