Deadly Fire Ruled Arson

SUSQ FATAL FIRE 11-17-13

JACKSON TOWNSHIP — A deadly fire in Susquehanna County is now ruled a case of arson according to state police in Gibson.

Investigators said the blaze broke out around 11:30pm Saturday on Gaylord Street in Jackson Township.

State police said once they could get inside the burning home, they found the body of Kathleen Ashby-Kaminsky, 50, who lived there.

Kathleen’s daughter, Kati Granville says that her mother loved her grandchildren more than anything and spent every day helping others.

Anyone with information about the deadly fire is asked to call state police in Gibson at 570-465-3154.

    Totally sickened by this…Kathy was a childhood friend as we grew up in the same neighborhood..we remained friends through FB and I loved reading her post and talking with her..I hope that closure comes soon as to who would do such a horrible thing to her…My thoughts and prayers to her family, may she rest in peace

    Joe foster. I would love to meet you when I come home this week to have such a funny comment on the street. You could have a little more thoughts seeing it was my mother that died in this deadly fire. Don’t worry brother karma is what rules in this world so have fun.

      Ricky don’t pay attention to someone who clearly can be so insensitive and incompassionate at this time. and a complete moron that the response to such a story is about the “street name”
