WILKES-BARRE -- Hundreds of people braved the windy weather in Luzerne County to honor the brave men and women who have served our country.

Marching bands and military vehicles joined in a Veterans Day parade in Luzerne County on Sunday.

The parade started across the river at the Kingston Armory and made its way around Public Aquare in Wilkes-Barre.  Many came out along the way to show their support for the men and women in uniform.

This year's parade theme was "saluting our veterans and their families." People we spoke with said this is something we should do everyday, not just around Veterans Day.

"It's not just about deployments and things like that.  I think a lot of people don't understand what they do on a daily basis and how families really have to back them up and stuff like that. It's a huge process that goes unknown," said Kelly Strybuck of Allentown.

This was the 68th annual Wyoming Valley Veterans Day Parade and featured all branches of the military.
