SUV Crashed Into Bakery in Scranton

SCRANTON -- A business remains open after an SUV crashed into it Saturday morning.

It happened at National Bakery on Capouse Street in Scranton around 11:30, according to a worker at the bakery.

The driver of the SUV said he accidentally accelerated instead of using the break.

No one was injured in the crash in Lackawanna County.

    It’s a sign of the times, when our language is slowly degrading into “text-speak”, and children are allowed to use creative spelling in school, how can one expect anything like the correct usage of terminology.

    I agree with you 100%. Most of the online articles look like third graders wrote them. Unfortunately, that reflects poorly on the whole image of WNEP.

    Brakes stop a vehicle, “breaks” is what happens when you do not apply the brakes and you hit a bakery. Try proofreading your copy next time kids.
